Ready to mail your flowers now? Click here to jump to our mailing instructions.

Keep your flowers fresh until you mail or deliver them to our Rosewood location.

  • For best results deliver or mail your bouquet promptly after your event.
  • DO NOT FREEZE YOUR FLOWERS.
  • Keep your flowers cool and well hydrated.
  • If your flowers have visible stems, trim about 1 inch off the ends and place them in a vase of cool water.
  • For flowers in a bouquet holder, place the bouquet over a sink and pour a small amount of cool water into the holder's center.
  • Refrigerate your flowers in a large plastic bag until ready to deliver or mail to us.

Has your event already occurred?
If your event has already occurred, it may not be too late to mail or deliver your flowers for preservation. Use this simple guideline to determines if your flowers can be preserved:

  • Your flowers have been refrigerated—NOT FROZEN.
  • If not refrigerated, kept cool.
  • Some browning on the edges is no problem.
  • If your flowers are not in a condition to freeze-dry we can press them. Pressing is more flexible for flowers with imperfections since we can cut around damaged areas and show only the portions in good condition.
  • If in doubt, call us and we will be happy to help you assess their condition before you send them. Call us toll-free at 888-684-3837 (In the Columbia, SC area call 803-779-6186)
  • For flowers too damaged to preserve, we offer replacement flowers. All we need is a picture of the bouquet to recreate the beauty of the original. Call us for more details.

As soon as you decide to ship or deliver your flowers to us, refrigerate or keep them cool until ready to pack or deliver. NEVER freeze your flowers.

Packing your flowers for shipping
Following is a list of supplies and packing guidelines:

  • A Styrofoam picnic cooler slightly larger than your flowers. A shipping cardboard box will be adequate in cooler months.
  • Pack flowers in crumpled tissue paper
  • A purchased frozen coolant or coolant gel pack (blue ice) should be placed in the box or cooler with your flowers.

Pack your flowers right before you ship them as follows:

  • Tape your frozen coolant or coolant gel pack (blue ice) to your shipping cooler’s inside bottom. Be sure it’s secure. Tip your Styrofoam cooler upside down. It should not come loose. During hot summer months place a second coolant pack taped to the cooler’s inside lid.
  • Make a “pillow” for your flowers with crumpled tissue paper. Place it atop the coolant bag.
  • Place your flowers on the “pillow” with all flowers facing up. Secure your flowers. Fill the box to the top with more crumpled tissue paper so your flowers won’t shift during transit.  Tape the box securely and follow the shipping instructions provided by your shipper.

Vital Information—You must include inside your package:
Please print our enclosure form and include it with your flowers. The order form MUST be included with your package in order to be processed correctly.

Shipping your flowers

  • Your flowers must be shipped overnight.
  • We recommend any overnight carrier that guarantees next-day delivery.
  • Pack your flowers and have them ready to ship by 1 to 3 P.M. so your package will not sit for hours in a warehouse awaiting shipment.  We do not recommended shipping flowers on a Saturday because they may end up in a hot warehouse for two days.
